I have a friend from Fargo, ND, USA who now lives in Denmark and is a chill swimmer too. Definitely not the sport for me :D

Well I wouldn't call it a sport, going in and out of the water. Not like running a marathon. Which I would never do, I hasten to add! 😂 I did find the quick dip strangely invigorating.

I would not call me a chill swimmer, but I go to an old style bath house near where I live in Malmö, Sweden. A sauna and then a quick dip in the sea. The coldest this winter was 2,8 degrees Celsius. I really love it and it is very invigorating. I am a beginner, but only have to look at the other ladies who have done this for years. They are all very energetic and healthy looking. I am hoping to reach this level some day. I think it takes a little bit of time to get used to, but once you are there you can't be without it. When it gets a little bit warmer I will do a little bit of swimming to.

My son is working and living in Oslo and also go to a 'kallbad' close to the Opera from time to time.

Wow, 2,8 degrees Celsius is quite cold for swimming! Maybe we should call ourselves "chill dippers" instead of "chill swimmers". And yes, it looks like the long term effect of those cold dips is great.
