Why bother with less clothes?

Because it is less bother when you have less clothes.

Welcome to Wardrobe Wednesday, colour analysis based nuggets of wisdom to help you dress like a Scandinavian even if you prefer weak coffee and have no plans to ever see the northern lights.

Nordic Simplicity is like coffee. Stimulating, dark, and gets you through the day.

Wool& used to have the 100 day dress challenge, which I wrote about here. They still have the 100 day dress challenge, but LOOK they have another challenge that they call the 9x9 capsule wardrobe challenge, that doesn’t require buying any of their clothes, you can participate with whatever clothes you have in your wardrobe, which is very inclusive, and I love them for it!

Wool& writes in their 9x9 capsule wardrobe challenge information: One of the reasons why a small, curated wardrobe is smart, is that your clothing isn’t what defines you. And your perception that other people care what you are wearing is probably exaggerated.

The 9x9 capsule wardrobe challenge is an interesting one.

You choose any nine items you own and wear any combination of those nine items over the course of nine days as your daily outfit.

Yes, any items. So it doesn’t have to include a dress. And it doesn’t need to include any Wool& items, even though they do encourage to incorporate a Wool& item if you own one.

What FUN!

You might not have the faintest idea what nine items to pick for your 9 days of 9 items.

How lucky for you that you know me!

I am practically in your closet right now, rummaging through and picking out nine items for you. Why would that be creepy?

Oh, look here! I found a pair of trousers! You know you like to wear trousers. So let’s start with those.
