I’m at the level of being incredibly proud of the fact that I’ve re-learned how to get up off the floor unaided! 😳

I couldn't climb the rope. I couldn't hang from the bar. I couldn't jump the hurdles. I couldn't run the relay. But I once out-sit-upped everyone in my gym class (including the boys) and I have lived on that feeling for DECADES. Suck it, Ricky Pearson. 😆

How true! We all have our little younger self who needs some TLC every now and again. I love the book AND the title,

“Feelings Buried Alive Never Die.”

Loved reading your story today….very uplifting, being reminded we all need TLC💕

Thank you so much Brenda, I will look up that book.

A naturopath doctor recommended it to me when, even though I had physical symptoms, she realized some stemmed from a deeper emotional place.

wow me too!! That picture of you is wonderful. I had the exact experience all through school. And yet like you I became an exercising adult, really starting all the way back to when aerobics first started :) Then I even taught it. I am really proud of that inner change, I had to overcome all those voices, there were alot of them, and doing so has led me to a relatively healthy 7th decade. Thanks for your authentic sharing, I like the mental health slogan also

Yay for us overcoming all those voices!

I was that 10 year old! I still don’t enjoy exercise, but I do about 10minutes of yoga each day to keep myself limber.

Yoga is wonderful (or so I am told). Sounds like you found your best kind of exercise ❤️
