"The grey roots that grow out every third week ruin my whole look"

I got this heartfelt sigh from a Soft Autumn who likes to colour her hair.

And as a perfectionist with a dash of OCD mixed in, I can relate! It's really annoying when you spend hours at the hairdresser's and then only two weeks after, you start worrying about the grey roots showing.

This is the original email from my dear reader:

Hello Jorunn,

I have been analyzed (online, through my photos) as Soft Autumn. I think that's correct. I color my hair, and it's a typical soft autumn coloring, that I think suits me. But the grey roots that grow out every third week ruin my whole look. It's usually a week or 2 before I can get to the hairdresser to touch up on the grey roots.
My question is, how can I play or work with this contrast?

Thank you in advance!

Dear Soft Autumn Subscriber.

First of all, thank you for submitting this question! I know this is a challenge not only for you, but for all women who dye their hair, regardless which Season they are.

Grey roots are part of the packet when you colour your hair, and they appear quicker than a teenager hearing you open a packet of Doritos. (the same teenager that appeared to be completely deaf when you asked for volunteers to unload the dishwasher earlier today)

Even people who adore the colour they have chosen for their hair dye loathe the grey roots that relentlessly appear, reminding them to schedule another costly appointment at the salon.

I’m happy to share 3 practical solutions you can consider.

And also, congratulations on being a Soft Autumn! I suffer from deep Soft Autumn envy, and am in awe when during the colour analysis we discover that the client is this particular Season.
