How do I stay true to my colours and yet lighten up my palette?
...or how Dark Autumn can dress in the summer without looking like they they are playing dress-up
I got this cry for help from a Dark Autumn the other day:
Hi Jorunn, As a Dark Autumn, I find it very easy to dress in autumn and winter. Dark brown, camel, navy, plum and emerald green, the colors suit me perfectly and match with my Canadian seasons. But what to do in spring and summer? There are so many pastels out there - I do not know how to stay true to my colors and yet lighten up my palette. Any suggestions? Thanks! Signed, Frustrated Dark Autumn
Dear Frustrated Dark Autumn, I am so glad you asked.
This is a question I get all the time, from people of the Dark Seasons (Dark Winter and Dark Autumn) who are frustrated when picking spring and summer outfits, and from Light Seasons who are tearing out their hair when trying to create cold weather outfits.
